Serving is one of the ways we live out our faith and love our community. Whether volunteering in worship, offering hospitality, supporting pastoral care, or serving in other ministries, there are many opportunities to use your gifts and make a difference. We invite you to find a place to serve and join in the work God is doing among us.

Worship Volunteers

It takes many volunteers each week to make worship possible. Through hospitality, leadership, and service, our members use their gifts to create welcoming and meaningful worship experiences. Explore the ministries below to discover where you can serve and share your gifts.

Wednesday Night Volunteering

Serving on Wednesday nights at First UMC Conway is a meaningful way to build community and extend hospitality. Volunteers help create a welcoming and joyful environment for all who gather by setting up, serving, and cleaning up for our Wednesday dinner program. Through simple acts of service, you help make midweek fellowship possible for our church family.

Hospitality

The Bereavement Team provides care and hospitality to families and friends following funeral services at First UMC Conway. Team members prepare and serve food for receptions, offering comfort and support during a tender time. This ministry of compassion is a meaningful way to care for others in their time of need.

All are welcome to join the team. If you feel called to serve, please contact Debbie Brisentine or click the button below to learn more.

Pastoral Care

Communion Ministers
Communion Ministers extend the Table beyond our sanctuary by taking Holy Communion to homebound members following worship on Communion Sundays. This compassionate ministry helps connect those unable to attend in person with the life and worship of the church.

Youth and Children Volunteers

Youth and Children’s Ministry Volunteers play a vital role in nurturing the faith of our youngest disciples. Volunteers assist with Wonderful Wednesdays, Sunday evening programs, retreats, Vacation Bible School, transportation, and more. To ensure a safe and supportive environment, volunteers must be members of First UMC Conway and complete a background check. We follow our Safe Sanctuary policies to provide a secure and caring setting for all children and youth.
